Cobo Center Collaborates With Andiamo to Open the Vu for All Events
Detroit Mi --- In partnership with one of the most successful local restaurant companies in the Detroit area, the Andiamo Restaurant Group, the Cobo Center and its catering service Centerplate is opening its Vu Restaurant for all events in the Cobo Convention Center, Cobo Arena and Joe Louis Arena. A limited menu includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches and burgers, desserts and two of Andiamo’s signature pasta selections. A full bar will also be available. Hours for the view will be 6:30 AM –9:00 PM during Cobo Center events, and 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM for arena events.
“The Vu offers a unique menu geared toward the busy event industry. We are excited about this new partnership and the Vu opening and available for all events including Red Wings games concerts at the Joe. With the hockey season just getting started, we will be highlighting our $6.50 ‘burger and brew special’ and expect a big draw.” said Mike Nowinski of Andiamo.

About Andiamo: Joe Vicari, founder and CEO, bought his first restaurant that would begin the Andiamo Restaurant Group in January 1990, when he purchased Lido on the Lake in St. Clair Shores. Since then, he has opened fourteen additional restaurants in the metro Detroit area. Joe says the key to his success is, “having good sound principles in place, treating people fairly so employees stay with him a long time and giving or selling a percentage of each restaurant to his managers.”
