Walt Watkins

Mr. Watkins is president of WCW Enterprises, a development consulting firm, and serves as Chief Executive Officer. Watkins is a retired president of the former Bank One, Michigan, and former Chief Development Officer for the City of Detroit. As CDO, he was responsible for all of the City’s economic development activities, and he formed the City’s first all-inclusive Economic Development Organization, effectively restructuring the City’s entire development process.

He also led the transfer of the management of Detroit’s Eastern Market from the City to a new non-profit corporation he helped establish. As president of WCW, he has consulted for the Detroit Economic Growth Association, City Connect Detroit and the City of Detroit, along with numerous private businesses. He serves on the boards of Molina Healthcare of Michigan Inc., Detroit Downtown Development Authority, Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, Eastern Market Corporation and 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit.
